PARKS AND RECREATION VISIONING PLAN - WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29, CALEDON VILLAGE PLACE
********important********important*********important**********important**********important*******
Are you concerned about the lack of recreation facilities on the west side of Caledon. Obviously many people I talk to are and many continue to be concerned about the closing of Caledon Central Pool. The recreation department has embarked on an exercise to understand what it is that residents of Caledon want and would use with respect to facilities. I have been working diligently to put together a partnership group to begin the process of having a facility in our area. Please come to this meeting on Wed. April 29 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and express your views. The results gained will be used by Council to direct future decisions. I need you to join us that evening and express you views. Please talk with your neighbours. I met many young families while campaigning and we would like them to join us to express the needs for their young families.

Halton Hills Bike Challenge 2015 Launch/Cyclepalooza
Hello Cyclists,
Spring is officially here!! The snow banks have melted and everyone is more than ready to plunge into the 2015 cycling season. We are dreaming of cruising around the neighbourhood and feeling a warm breeze on our faces. Yippy!
To get us off on a splendid note, your Bicycle Friendly Community Committee and the Halton Hills Public Library have teamed up to present Cyclepalooza – a showcase of all things cycling from helmet fitting to cycle tourism and on to high performance velodrome cycling. We really do have something for everyone.
Cyclepalooza is a free event to be held on Saturday April 11th from 9:30am to noon at the Georgetown Public Library/Cultural Centre. We will have ample free valet bike parking. However if the weather is unsuitable, come any way you can. But please bring your helmet to have it professionally fitted and to participate in the helmet decorating contest.
At 11:30 we will officially launch the 2015 Halton Hills Bike Challenge with the announcement of our challenging 2015 goal. We would love to have a crowd on hand and we will be signing people up at the library that morning.
